Review and Reading

Make History Card 6                 ~   "Josephus" c. 66 AD
Write on the back the following ~  "A Jew, a Pharisee, Josephus loved learning.  He fought as a commander in the First Jewish Revolt against Rome, yet later worked for the Emperor's son, Titus, taking on his family name, Flavius.  Josephus wrote down the history of his people, the Jews, in The Works of Josephus."

Titus

Review all 6 History Cards.

Go back to page 19 and perform the Somewhere in Time activities # 1 and #2, using a globe and/or map.

Parents, please read the Foreword of The Martyr of the Catacombs.  Then, read with or to your student chapter 1 of the same book.  We will also read some of this book in class, but I felt this was a good place to begin it rather than proceeding to the next history lesson.

We will do more review activities in class on Tuesday and prepare for Test 1 that covers Lessons 1-6, which they will do for homework AFTER Tuesday.
